OUR LOCATION / HOW TO GET HERE

The holiday village SOLE e MARE, is situated on Elba Island, the pearl of the Tuscan Archipelago National Park, in the enchanting bay of Nisporto, fully immersed in nature and by the sea with direct access to the beach.

The pictures below show the pine forest that stands above the whole Sole e Mare Complex, the horse-shoe bay with its wide and beautiful beach partly sandy and partly pebbley where, on the eastern side, there still stands an old oven which was used to cook the local limestone which was exported in rowing boats. The last photo shows the backdrop of the town of Portoferraio.

By car: coming from Bologna/Firenze follow the motorway A1 and come off at Firenze/Scandicci, take the SGC FI-PI-LI and proceed for Livorno/Grosseto – come off at Venturina and drive ahead to the harbour of Piombino (porto di Piombino).

- coming from Genova/La Spezia follow the motorway A12 until exit Rosignano Marittima, then follow the highway SS1 to Grosseto and come off at Venturina, drive ahead to the harbour of Piombino (porto di Piombino).

- coming from Roma take highway A12 until its end, proceed on SS1 Aurelia fino a Grosseto and go on to the exit Venturina, drive ahead to the harbour of Piombino (porto di Piombino).

by train: destination is the station of Piombino Marittima.

by plane: destination is the airport of Campo nell’Elba, once You have arrived, take the taxi or rent a car and proceed for Nisporto.

Best Route: Take the ferryboat Toremar from Piombino to Rio Marina, then the road to Rio Nell’Elba and proceed for Nisporto.

Or: Any ferryboat from Piombino to Portoferraio, take the route to Porto Azzurro and then proceed for Rio nell’Elba and Nisporto.

The shortest route, but with a brief stretch not asphalted, is from Portoferraio to Bagnaia and then to Nisporto.

From the Harbour of Piombino You either reach Elba Island at Rio Marina with the Toremar Company (0039056531100) in about 45 minutes, or at Portoferraio with Toremar (0039056531100) or Moby Lines (0039199303040) in about 60 minutes.
