The "Sole e Mare" camping-village is situated on the beach of the enchanting bay of Nisporto on the Island of Elba, without a doubt not only the most beautiful but also the largest of the islands of the National Park of the Tuscan Archipelago, and is completely surrounded by Mediterranean bush. The beach can be easily reached on foot even by those with a pushchair, and the nearest plots are only 20 metres from the sea.
The photograph shows the pine grove that overlooks the entire Sole e Mare complex, the camping plots just off the beach, the horseshoe shaped bay with its beautiful and wide partly sandy, partly pebble beach. On the eastern side, the old furnace used for turning the limestone from the mountain into lime, then put onto rowing boats and sent to Portoferraio, can still be seen.
